beacuse ryze has to stand still to use e-w you usually cant react to his q3 with it. you should try practising dodging his q3 since after that you can pretty easily e-w and run away. you should also try to just push and roam, you wont be killing him in lane. also get boneplating, go normal paherush build but with boneplating and overgrowth/tenacity I am intrigued by your approach but fail to understand your thought process. I've tried it out in Normal several times now and I'm surprised at how good Ryze is at securing kills. His E-W-Q combo is pretty much always guaranteed to hit and causes massive damage during early-mid game. He scales a bit poorly, for some reason he doesn't do much damage during late game, and is quite squishy.

With Riftmaker you have a bad early and mid and a bad-decent lategame. It's a fun build that works when you're better than your elo, but not on serious competition i think. No pro ever builds or even tries Riftmaker also. I've seen some pros go Crown, seraphs, Rylais. Should be a decent build against assasins. You COULD go either (I personally lean to Stormsurge because you burst hard as shit already and the Mpen HURTS healthtanks like Sett and Tahm), but Frozen Heart is also a solid choice. With PR, you can both kite your opponent easier and chase people down to secure a kill if your combo doesn't quite kill them.
