Rotational aim assist is not auto aim, it keeps your target on the same position in your screen relative to your own perspective. This essentially makes hitting a moving target as easy as hitting a still target. But in both cases remember that you still need to do the work to move your crosshair onto target.

The Standard Aim Assist setting in Black Ops Cold War definitely feels too strong subjectively to me. I could see that artificially boosting many players aim for sure. Same with Precision and Focusing. Classic (or Standard from MW 2019) may even be a bit too strong, who knows, again proper testing would be best for these things.

You can alternate between Black Ops or Default for aim assist unless you're sniping you can mess with Precision and Focusing.
