From all the research I've been doing, it could quite possibly be the vvl oil pressure switch/solenoid on the driver side bank. Issue is that I'm having such a hard time finding the part number myself from all the Subaru parts websites I've visited. Pulled code P0028. Replaced the driver-side oil pressure sensor with an aftermarket sensor which got rid of the jerking, but still no power after 4k rpms. Replaced Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoid and it cleared the code and got rid of the check engine light.
