It is a Cylinder and Slide fixed rear sight for a S&W. The partial slot is larger than the C&S sight's front part - so that fits OK. You do need to drill and tap the top strap. No have not weight it yet. My guess is 1/4 to 1/2 oz lighter. Thanks for the info.
