If you still think you're missing out, go to UAL afterwards, but UAL has a fraction of the bus that AA has and bus type flying at AA goes to the 737 at UAL with the UAL bus usually doing 175 type flying at AA. Jan 5, 2012 · UAL domestic and international reserves both get 12 days off per month. International reserve have 4 holy days that can't be moved. Domestic reserve days are inviolate. There are many other work rules, you really need to read the contract. You will not find a UAL pilot sleeping in a plane when the company can't find a hotel.

On bad weather days, commute in earlier if possible. As a new hire you are on a much shorter leash when it comes to "dependability" than someone off probation.
