I purchased the eastwood professional brake tubing flaring tool with the 45 & 37 degree die sets. It works badass but doesn't do 1/2 inch.

I'd think you could easily make the same power with a BBC for $12-15k using a used aluminum block and heads, that should be relatively easy to find.

My BBC went 5 years between a rebuild and 3 of them were at 2000+ hp. A couple 76's will be plenty of turbo for your goals. The 10.2 deck with a 4.25 crank will work well. Mine is 9.8 but I kept mine smaller for a single turbo. Any decent head will work. Given that turbo i think you could go either way. I feel like its done by 1000-1100 whp. Thats a good bit in a s400 76. Might only get to 900-1000. That pump and injectors on methanol will be close to done by then too. Depends on the rpm and hp you're trying to run. The CNC BB3Xtra flows decent air and would be a good choice if you're looking for a decent power band. Another good choice would be the Dart 355 CNC. Bigger heads will flow more air and work better at higher rpm but may not make better power. JMO.
