There is no best class. Every class has different things that they do very well. Mage is very aoe heavy and glass cannon like but has some good lifesteal early on even though lifesteal is nerfed in calamity. I would say that mage is the best for fighting the endgame bosses just because of subsuming vortex / void vortex.
