The system may update the time on cycles like every 30 minutes as an example.Those cheap nuts are part of the problem, you can't put any real torque on them. Remove the instrument pod and look at the connectors. Use a small screwdriver or piece of abrasive paper to carefully clean the contacts on both sides. Don't get carried away. It does not take a lot of cleaning to get a new surface.
