I use 5744 in my Savage 10ML-II Muzzleloader and it works fine. ( Warning, do not use smokeless powder in any muzzleloader that is not designed to shoot smokeless!) 5744 is also used by 30-30 reloaders that shoot Lead Cast bullets.2002. I bought it a both Bass Pro and Brownells this last year, I use it for many calibers. I use it for 300, 350 and 405 jacketed bullet loads.

For hotter loads I use 2400 and for much hotter loads I use 4198 or RL7. Triple Seven pellets under a sabot with a 250 gr. XTP, and I can regulate the .45-70 to hit the same POI as the Huntsman.
