The Heart of Mystery has 4 portals, leading to 4 different puzzle dungeons. You can use these portals in act 3, even though two of the locations are in areas otherwise inaccessible until act 5. I don't recall which area has which color slabs, but you should be able to pop in and out of the portals until you find the right room.
