Super quick to make and f2p pking is actually pretty fun and cheap. A zerker with 45 defense is a solid entry level pure in my opinion. I play a void pure which is 42 defense and can definitely feel the difference of those 3 def levels. It also allows you open to most content in the game without much restriction.

Don't underestimate starting in f2p, it's pretty fun to maple longbow/rune 2h pk. You will learn switching for ko weapon and timing eating as the bare basics. You can throw in some movement (eg death dotting for switches) to mix things up. Then move on to some of the other methods mentioned. 3.1)Opponent is a newb. 2)The combatants are lvl 100+. Most F2P fights are no arm,so def really has no point other than some minor protection. Corrupt weapons should't be used untill 85+ strength and 5m+ bank. 43 prayer is the maximum a melee pker should get. 44 prayer is the maximum a range/2her/tank should get.
