Absolutely. But that term is strongly associated with a movement that is expressly anti-femenist. The idea of men's lib (I think we need a better name but that's what we have right now) is that dismantling the patriarchy will free women from their oppression AND free men from their often toxic and self-harming gender expectations. Honestly every time this conversation shows up, I can't help but feel there's a staggering lack of intersectionality in the way menslib talks about this. A double standard where men as the default winners have more to lose and women have more to gain. If a man loses, he's pathetic and his manhood is in question; if a woman is incompetent, she's laughable but still has other culturally acceptable avenues for identity ("she should get back to being a wife.")
