John deere gator clutch problems.

I've had a THD6x4 for 15 years. I'm on my 2nd belt. I've pulled massive loads up 30+% hills. I've done likewise with a log tote. I've locked the axles and pulled crazy stuff. I've smelled the belt. I've had to shut down due to engine overheat. I've kind of pushed the limit many times. But my "clutch" is fine.My gator xuv560 is bogging down, losing power, hard to start and has white smoke from the exhaust. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. White smoke is indicative of water, my first thought would be possibly a head gasket. I've gotten one of their aftermarket Rapid Response clutches and the weights and spring are for a gas engine which tend to have a wider RPM range than a diesel. Also, make sure you get or make a clutch removal tool.Set it low. Now, place trans in neutral, lock park brake. Start engine and rev it up to activate clutches. Run wide open for a few seconds. Let it fully come back to idle. Observe clutch on engine. Now shut off engine. If you hear a "click/pop" from the engine clutch, it isnt disengaging properly.

Only owned it for a week and was curious if this is normal. When in gear and from a stop - it takes some rpm to get it to engage and when it does its a fairly decent jerk. Not very predictable. I am looking for some input as to what other issues 825i owners have experienced. So far I have had a problem with the shock on the drivers side door which keeps coming off.
