Pull the battery, put it on a 3A charger, and get to work changing the alternator. About 1 hour later I'm done. Put everything back together, reconnect the battery terminals. Battery is showing 12.4 volts (so low charge, but getting there). Car cranks up fine and I go for a test drive. About a minute later the battery light comes on again.
