I want lost sectors to be cool/moderately tough content for solo players.Legend lost sectors are fine, like you said, with the right loadout and mods you’ll be fine. But there’s been times when rng is just not on your side at all. This video is a bit outdated but really shows the severity of how bad the drop rates were. I haven’t done legend lost sectors in a long time so I can’t speak for the new drop rates.Lost sectors should usually give the specific (new) armour pieces first, based on what type is on offer that day (leg, chest head etc) and after they drop random exotic armour based on what you don't have already. If you already have all the exotic armour in the world loot pool then you just get random rerolls of them.

The extra time just isn't worth it. Strongly recommend Perdition, Chamber of Starlight, and Aphelion's Rest if you're experienced and want to speed run.Drops in lost sector appear to prioritize exotics you haven't picked up yet. Once all are obtained, it is random. I'd put drop rate at about 1 exotic per 4 to 6 runs on average from running a bunch if legendary difficulty last night. Master should increase this so maybe 1 exo per 3 to 4 runs from what I saw in the past on another character. The drop rate is about 25%. I ran 1600 legend lost sectors and 393 exotics dropped. 1600 / 393 = 24.56%. This DOESN'T mean that if you go run 4 lost sectors right now that you'll have 1 exotic to show for it. Some people have started keeping track of large amounts of platinums. They’re getting well over 30% for legendary.
