That being said, I have a regular JRA M14 and I wouldn't trade it for one of the welded ones. I think the real M14 heal is cool for a collector, but as a shooter I like the solid, one piece forging of my receiver. I have no data on the welded M14 receivers, so they may prove to be just as reliable as mine. May 5, 2019 · I bought from JRA and my M14 was defective. I called Classic who then put me in touch is Bula Defense. Bula took care of fixing my M14 and they sent me a shipping label so other than waiting a few weeks for the round trip I got a working M14 now. Didn’t mean to offend about the “better than average” comment. I wasn’t aware a box stock M14 was as accurate as your talking. I was worried a well worn USGI parts kit would possibly yield less than desirable accuracy, same thing with a rifle made from a country which was known for cheaper alternatives and questionable quality at one point.

No reason to get a BM-59 vs. M1A unless you are into collecting one. There are some great choices for M1A's / M14's and though more involved than an AR, you can build your own tackdriver. The JRA's must have been a big hit the BM59s where $1050 not long ago and IIRC the JRA M1a is a cast receiver for those that care.
