Jeep jk running hot.
As noted JK's with with the 3.6 run hot.. fan does not usually kick in till 226-228.. so if under load, steep hill for example, temps in the 230's can be expected.. Best advise is to make sure you have the least amount of stuff you can blocking the grill. sink the winch down in frame, remove grill inserts etc.

It was serviced (oil change) 2x once ...Water Pump Failure: A leaking water pump will result in a drop in the coolant level. but when it actually causes your Jeep Wrangler Overheating, it is more likely to be due to a failure of the water pump. The pump is driven by the timing belt which means when there is a problem with one of them, you are likely to have problems with the other one.

I recently got to 240 (with a couple seconds at 244) while towing a heavy trailer uphill on the interstate in 89F weather - 4000 rpm in 3rd at 55 mph. If, as you said, it was only the drivers side, then replacing the core didn't do a thing and the issue will likely return. There's no mass accounts of overheating penastars in the JK. I think people are trying to find a issue where it does not exist. If it was a aluminum block and iron heads I could see a issue. Since they're the same material they should in theory expand all at the same rates ect.
