I'm just wondering if anyone's managed to get to this point without killing many if any of the robots, leaving it feeling populated an interesting? And if so, how hard was this to achieve? It it says you have 4 to grab outside of Galactic Zone then you probably have 4 more to retrieve. Considering there are 5 cores outside of the Galactic Zone and you claim to have grabbed 2 of them, it may be worth your while to be absolutely sure you indeed grabbed those 2 by revisiting those locations.

I have found all 34 cores except for the one on the top floor of star control. But for some reason, picking up one of the cores gave me 2 units instead of one. Simply put, I was able to open the display case without having to finish the dlc. If you look at the link I posted it says there are -1 star cores outside the galactic zone.
