Difference between glock 30 and 30s.
Jun 15, 2016 · I have been looking to add a Glock 45 to my stable of Glocks. I am having a very hard time deciding between the 30 and the 30S. I know the 30 is a sweet shooter in a small package, but it is fairly hefty. All that heft does absorb recoil though. The 30s is thinner in the slide and obviously a lighter gun. The penalty there is more recoil.

If I go with the 30S I'll be using the 9 round mags so size/weight is close enough to be of little concern. I was pretty set on the 30S. On my Gen4, I've had two mag catches and springs replaced due to excessive wear of the catch and the notches in the mags. Mags would fall out upon firing the gun. Look, the Glock 30 is a fine pistol, but it doesn’t have a match grade accurate barrel. The Kimber does. The Glock doesn’t have a match grade smooth trigger. The Kimber does. The Kimber weighs more than the Glock, but has more muzzle flip? Maybe. The Glock has a longer barrel, than the Kimber.
