D15 II oil capacity/checking. I have spent some time in the ops manual and on line on how to correctly check the oil level on the D 15 II. The book says capacity is 4 quarts for the series II. So when you shut it down the filter is full but immediately starts to drain back into the crankcase and thusly the level starts rising on the dipstick.So I guess I need to find a WD45 oil pump to make this right. This was discussed a few months ago. It will hurt nothing to use that pump in your tractor as long as long as it's a 10 tooth to match the wd45 cam. It must be because it was already in there. They stopped making the 45 pump so that is a replacement pump.
