I switched to gun and trophy and now have 48 k coverage plus I do not insure my guns when I ship em! I called and spoke with Larry ( Owner of Cushman Insurance Agency DBA Gun & Trophy Insurance) personally as I am involved in the insurance industry. Typically, guns are covered under an endorsement on your homeowners policy and usually run about $20 per $1,000 value. They also typically are not insured at full replacement value.I just looked at the NRA insurance pricing online - ouch! We have our gun insurance through Eastern Insurance because we get 3 times the value covered for $37.50 a year less premium and better coverage than the NRA program.
