im thinking this is probably in a 4wd. the trans bolt pattern is the same as a 429\460 which is a much better engine. i would try to find this engine and replace the 400. Again, define "better", the 429/460 weighs over 100# more. than the 400. The 400 has more stroke than both, Plus you. could pop for the big buck Cleveland 4V heads, which flow.

Cleveland mains are much smaller than 351W,M, & 400. 351W and 400 bearings are different. 351M/400 and 351C use the same rod bearings. As for putting a W crank in a 351M/400, you can do it, I did it. I run an Eagle 4" stroker crank for a 351W with 400 bearings. I do believe TMI uses an Eagle 351W stroker blank for their 434ci stroker …
