I suppose that makes some sense because so many people tend to load up one or two magazines of "the good stuff" and call it good for who-knows-how-long.

147gr would be ideal. 124 +P tends to over expand, even out of short barrels, limiting its penetration depth. 147gr will penetrate deeper because of its mass. +P just makes it recoil harder, don't bother. Sgammo.com usually has HST in Stock at good prices. Just throwing it out there. Standard pressure.
HST 147gr is going to give you better overall ballistics. Better penetration, better expansion, easier to handle recoil, etc. 147gr 9mm is subsonic so it's less flippy and less noisy than a +P round, as well as more reliable expansion since the bullet is a bit heavier and isn't travelling ridiculously fast.

Recently saw an article that most people were thinking 124gr was better, faster, etc. Rumor has it that the extra powder in +p doesn't have enough time to fully burn in the short barrels and therefore is a waste. its not wasted. the +P will crony higher. the higher pressure stuff is only slightly higher so the recoil/terminals debate rages on. im only speaking of HST 124gr. here.
