Spears, long blunt, and axes are all comparable for best weapons award. At higher levels each becomes a 1-2 swing kill. ^ Of those three, I would conceded the Axe is the best option if you're going to build a character for it and play on a sandbox were loot is more plentiful such as Apocalypse mode or easier.

I think that the best weapon strategy is to carry two short blunts on your belt and a long blunt or a machete on your back. I mean you always have a hammer on your belt anyways, it's a good backup weapon. I like to equip the spear in my hands, and when it breaks I have a crowbar or baseball bet on my back, a hammer and a pipe wrench on my belt.
The M1911 Pistol has average stats all round. It’s not bad at everything but isn’t exceptional in any aspect either. As a primary it’s one of the better B-Tier guns. The M36 Revolver has one job and its very good at it. It is the quietest gun in Project Zomboid. A great gun if you don’t want to attract too many zombies. Without guns, you really need a good killing zone that's clear. Line them up single file. Once you get 3+ side by side, they'll swarm you. You have to reposition them around in a circle until you can get a long enough path to string them out single file. 2 tops. My Favorites so far. SMG - Mp5sd2 with drum mag, Integral silencer never breaks and uses 9 mm. Pistols - HK mk 23 socom so I can feel like solid snake. LMG - M249 for the dakka dakka. Long rifle - AI arctic magnum (forget the designation in game) because Counterstrike forever.

Brita's Armour Pack stands out too much from the game's clothing, and breaks my immersion. I want to kill zombies with some good, authentic American weapons while wearing some home-grown God-fearing 1990s Kentucky drip.
