Jul 4, 2015 · Use your fingers and pull the rod plunger of the solenoid out and you will shut off the engine. Push back in to start if it won't move on it's own. The push button engages the relay, the relay wired to stay engaged until power is removed (key switch off). You will never be able to forget to re-engage the safety switches as it will self reset now.The fuel shutoff comes on when you turn the key off. 180° opposite of many others which turn off when the key is turned off. The timer relay then shuts off the power after 10/15 seconds which allows the shutoff valve to reopen, ready for the next start. You should be able to hear it cycling.Dec 27, 2017. #1. None of them work because it has become clear that the shaft that pushes in and engages the PTO clutch was completely out of the hole in the lever.

Such a connection could have cause the engine to cut out like it was running out of fuel, if the fuel cut off solenoid works like on my BX, where it cuts off fuel when de-energized.
