Marquette and Baraga counties remain under Blizzard Warnings with Winter Storm Warnings elsewhere. For many years, when living in Indiana, our family read his reports religiously and loved his personal journals about life in the Keweenaw, his beloved family, and dogs.TRAIL REPORT. We have a new trail coming into the east side of Curtis saving a mile of shoulder riding. It starts just 100 yards east of the gas station and connects with the existing trail by Lilac lane. This trail was made possible by 5 private landowners, donations made in Catherine Custers memory and the Skidoo snow pass grant!
Watersmeet Trail system has been groomed, it is in surprisingly good condition for early season and only 1 good snowstorm. The snow came down along the border pretty good 10-12 inches reported.
