Update 2: it briefly stopped working again, including the return of the "headphones" output issue, but was fixed on computer restart. Update 3: it appears that, if I join Discord before booting FFXIV on computer restart, the audio doesn't work. But if I boot FFXIV first, then it works even if I join Discord later.FFXIV is the only application affected by this, every other program continues on just fine. It starts with what sounds like a pop and then cuts out. I'm on Windows 10, and curiously I find that if I open my volume mixer after the audio cuts out that FFXIV's volume indicator appears as if there is a max volume sound constantly being played.After the update I have been experiencing a bug in the game where the sound completely cuts out after about an hour of gameplay and a lot of zone changes. This is no different than my usual play style with no problems in the past. Hello. I recently returned to FFXIV in October after about a 6 month break. I never uninstalled the game so when I returned, I just launched it, it updated, good to go. However, ever since I started again, my sound in game only lasts a few minutes and then cuts out and never comes back no matter what I do. On top of that, when I logged out, no matter where or when or how, the game would fade ...Since patch 6.0 the sound in the game starts to stutter extremely at the beginning of the fight and is played slowly and distorted. Switching to Direct X9 didn't work. Graphics drivers are up-to-date, changing the audio frequency did not help either. Headphones replaced by speakers, no success. Windows update to no avail. Right now I'm reinstalling FF14, but I don't expect any improvement.
