Fallout 4 beginning stuck.

Hi all, yesterday I played fallout 4 without a hitch, no problems what-so-ever. Today, I went to play again while I waited on some updates to download. I came to realize that it would freeze whenever I would go fullscreen after opening its window. although its not quite guaranteed to make the bathroom scene work after you enter the lift and choose to go back to the character creation screen. after such heavily modding my game, i havnt actually seen the intro for years. for me, a new game/new game plus, always needs to start in vault 111 from a stock save.
