Clubs are okay. Csulb likes to keep professors even if they suck, and their reviews are bad, (cheating scandal even happening right now). The csulb president isn't highly regarded imo. Class counselors sucks, I was placed in a wrong class, which required me to stay an extra semester because I missed a prerequisite.

Public transportation, beaches, nightlife (gaslamp) are all better in SD. Outside of the dorms, housing may be cheaper if you go inward of east county. The campus life at SDSU will be better. San Diego in general is a much more fun city also than Long Beach. If you can afford either, I would go SDSU.
