I find the automation arm sometimes does not refill my ore smelter. No idea why not. Mine doesn't collect my anvil mats either (even if I log in to the character at least once every day). Forge - never gave xp, doesn't give cards, sometimes doesn't refill ore (I have the same issue as other reply). So you may want to manually claim the bars.
